Interview with Voyage magazine

Hello everyone. It is a lovely day here in northern Pennsylvania where I live in our motorhome with my sweet husband, Border Collie, 3 cats, and 2 guinea pigs. The sun is out. It's about 70 and you couldn't ask for a more beautiful day. So, I decided to let you in on another scoop. I am announcing my latest publicity and new Press on work.

Me

Voyage ATL contacted me a couple of months ago and wanted to do an interview of me and my life as an artist as part of their "Hidden Gems" section that is in their Inspiring Stories Series. I was so grateful and honored that I got chosen for a piece in this National magazine. Voyage is a publication that is all over the nation and area specific. So, my publication went out to Voyage Pennsylvania because I am from here and have lived here most of my life. Very exciting indeed.

The interview with Voyage magazine was published in their August 31st edition. You can read it here. it was complete with a few grammatical errors. They did send me a copy to review and make the necessary changes, but I was in a car accident before I could submit it. And it wasn't a small accident. It was likely life changing.

Poor JEEP-bye bye

We were going about 55 on the highway when we hit a Jersey barrier on my side because a semi-truck swerved into our lane. I had a mild concussion and was bruised from my shins to my shoulders. I was so sick and out of it after the accident I didn't participate in life for a few days. The magazine understood and published on time without me checking my grammar and punctuation. I feel I must tell you this because it is an interview style of editorial and I never edited it so it is just the raw interview. I don't mind because isn't life kind of raw as it is?

Side curtain air bag took a bite out of my arm. This later turned deep red, purple, and yellow, and I went to the ER.

After the accident while I am in shock standing on the highway surrounded by officers I looked down and excitedly exclaimed...I DIDN'T BREAK A NAIL!!! Everyone actually laughed. That's right, my whole body took a punch but my Press ons did not fail! Artistry and durability. I can now say Talons Nail Art Press ons can survive a major car accident. Lol. I am wearing the Desert Rose style in long coffin. I have quickly recovered and my husband and our dog, who was in the back, have been fine. Our Jeep was totaled but now we have a nice Honda CRV...Touring edition, so it has all the bells and whistles. Yay.

I have been trying to get back to life and creating again. It is so hard when you have something like that stop you in your tracks. I already have degeneration in my joints and now the accident will likely make that progress faster. But it is what it is. I believe there is a reason for everything. Maybe we were protected so we can continue to bring more light and love into this world?

Introduction to Silver Blossoms...

Silver Blossoms Press on Nails

I saw this technique in different colors online and was fascinated. They designed the whole nail to be one color with an overlay of cat eye in a contrasting color and it was spectacular. For these nails I used my new black 3D gel for flower petals sculpted on a nude stamped background.

To make the blooms silver I used a gorgeous silver cat eye on the petals and leaves. A dark gray metallic made the wispy embellishes and silver beads are scattered throughout the design for the perfect punctuation.

The end result was a stunning floral set of nails that made me think fairy princess meets gothic flowers. The listing will go up later tonight.

Up Next...

I really have so much to talk about I could write a series of short stories right now. Lol. However, I do not have the precious time it takes to create a really long post. So soon I will be catching up with new product listings, an exciting product launch, a Temu nail critique, updated instructions on application and removal of press ons, and more chit chat about life. Light and Love,
